<p>PURPOSE:To avoid hindrance to the movement of a flexible riser in a plane defined by the axis thereof and restrain its movement in the direction perpendicular to this plane by passing a liquid transport cable through at least one guide pipe in a slidably movable manner and anchoring the the guide pipe in connection with an anchoring rope anchored to the sea bottom. CONSTITUTION:A guide pipe 10 through which a flexible riser 2 passes is anchored with a riser base 5 on the sea bottom 9 by an anchoring rope 11. The inside diameter of the guide pipe 10 is sufficiently large to permit a smooth movement of the flexible riser 2 coaxially of the guide pipe. The largest inside diameter at each end of the guide pipe 10 tapers toward the smallest inside diameter in its center longitudinally. Therefore, the flexible riser 2, although slightly movable in the direction perpendicularly to its axis, is restrained from any other movement by the tension of the anchoring rope 11. The guide pipe 10 is joined with the anchoring rope 11 by a hinge 12 and the angle formed therebetween is changeable in the plane defined both thereof.</p> |
