The windscreen wiper is of the type in which a yoke, which supports a wiper blade between two rocker arms, is fitted at its centre with a supporting body (22) which has a hole (34) in which a small-diameter intermediate part of a pin carried by a wiper arm engages by snap means. The means which constitute the snap-engagement system consist of an elastic tongue (30) which is firmly attached to the supporting body (22) and extends in a chordal direction into the hole (34) of the body (22) through a cut made in said body. This solution solves the problem of how to manually and easily disengage the yoke from the wiper arm without jeopardising the safety of the snap-coupling between the yoke and the pin of the wiper arm. <IMAGE>
