<p>PURPOSE:To prevent elimination of electrical connection between a collector electrode and a face porous electrode even after a change of condition of the surface of the face porous electrode with the lapse of time, etc., by providing a deposited collector electrode formed by plating, etc., on over the whole area of the first and second face porous electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a first face porous electrode 4, protons are generated from moisture contained in a humid gas which contacts closely with the electrode when a positive voltage is impressed to the electrode. In a second face porous electrode 6, hydrogen or water is generated from the protons generated on the electrode 4, when a negative voltage is impressed to the electrode. A proton-conductive solid 5 is provided by inserting the solid in contact with the electrode 4 and 6, and deposited collector electrodes 14, 15 are formed simultaneously in close contact respectively with the whole surface area of the electrodes 4, 6. As the result, there is no fear for generating partially unconnected parts between the collector electrode and the face porous electrode even if an influence of heat shock, change of conditions due to the lapse of time, mechanical impulse, swelling or contraction of the proton-conductive solid due to absorption of moisture, etc., are effected thereon. And a current density in the solid 5 is held at a fixed distribution.</p> |
