Foodstuff comprises cereal bran, cereal germs, a sweet cholagog and a paste, compote, or the like, of fruit rich in pectines and/or dictectic fibres. The prod. is in the form of a speckled pasty cake with a homogenous structure. Pref. the speckled paste contains apple compote and fig paste. Pref. the cholagog is sorbitol. A pref. compsn. comprises 30% flour, 32% bran, 2.4% wheat germ, 9.2% sugar, 7.1% fatty material, 1.7% sorbitol, 8.5% apple compote, 5.9% fig. paste, 0.3% raising powders, 0.2% salt and 2.7 - 3.5% water. The prod. contains plant fibres which undergo some bacterial degradation in the color, is rich in vitamins, increases the weight of stool, restricts the spasmodic instive activity of the color, regulates and accelerates intestinal transit and inhibits constipation. |
