<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of switching elements, comparing with an example in which two pieces of switching elements are provided in accordance with display electrodes by providing switching elements of the number of pieces obtained by adding '1' to the number of display electrodes for constituting a group of display electrodes and bringing them to redundant constitution. CONSTITUTION:On one transparent substrate, a switching element 1, a display electrode 2, and a scan bus line 3 to which a control terminal 1a of the switching element 1 is connected are provided. Subsequently, on the other transparent substrate, an electrode 4 being a data bus line is provided, and plural pieces of display electrodes 2 which are arranged in the direction parallel to the scan bus line 3 constitutes a group of display electrodes. Only with regard to the display electrode 2 in both ends of the group of display electrodes, two pieces of switching elements 1 are provided against one display electrode, but with regard to the display electrode 2 in the group of display electrode, one piece of switching element 1 is provided against one display electrode. Accordingly, when the group of display electrodes is constituted of two pieces of display electrodes 2, three pieces of switching elements are enough. In such a way, a curtailment ratio of the switching element 1 of a redundant constitution can be enlarged.</p> |
