The whey, to which sugar-containing compounds are added, is subjected first to an alcoholic and then an aerobic fermentation, then inoculated with lactic acid bacilli from a pure culture and fermented. Other substances, for example surfactants, are added to the whey thus obtained. Detergents and cleaning agents and also medical and cosmetic soaps thus obtained are kind to the skin, anti-allergic and environmentally friendly.
