1,068,766. Moulding concrete beams. Y. TSUZUKI. Aug. 2, 1965 [Aug. 3, 1964], No. 32914/65. Heading B5A. Concrete beams of cruciform cross-section are cast in an open-topped mould formed by opposed side members 1, 2 of sheet material secured by clamps 10 to a wooden bottom plate 9 and reinforced lengthwise by members 3, 3a &c. The upper ends of the side members are held by clamps 13, and the ends of the mould are closed by plates of cruciform shape. As shown, one end of the mould has a closure plate 11 secured therein, and spaced slightly from the walls thereof, by a clamping device 12, 16, 14. A male joint member A of cruciform shape is also located within that end of the mould and is thereby moulded integrally with the beam. The opposite end carries a female joint member B, also of cruciform shape, Fig. 12 (not shown), secured to the mould by clamping means 26, 27, 29 bearing on a cruciform structure 22, 23 which carries an end closure plate 18. Thus one end of a moulded beam may be fitted into one end of a similar beam. Reinforcing bars 48, 49, 50 and 51, Fig. 9 (not shown), with bars 52, 52<SP>1</SP> looped therearound, extend longitudinally of the mould and are attached to cruciform assemblies located within the male and female joint members. |
