Plastics film is applied over motor vehicle windows or windscreens to protect the same, by clamping it into side windows or doors. The plastic film is a piece of rectangular, parallelogram- or trapezium-shape. The whole arrangement is suitably such as to enable all windows including the windscreen of a vehicle to be covered, using only 2 pieces of film. Relatively thin polyethylene film is suitable.
