Chimney stack is composed of connectable tubular sections an outer tube, an intermediate heat-insulating packing and a tubular steel lining. The packing is a stable multi-ply structure whose outermost ply is of hard foam (e.g. phenol or polyurethane) adhesively bonded to the outer tube whilst the packing as a whole is not connected to the steel lining. Used for discharge of industrial effluent gases. High thermal stability, improved insulating characteristics, low wt., easy installation are obtd.
