Box-type support structure for roof and ceiling construction is made of reinforced concrete, and comprises prefabricated rectanbular elements incorporating pressure slab, tension slab and sloping stem piece, of identical form, mounted in cross-sectional rows on end supports. These elements (1) consist of a half box, and are offset through 180deg. when assembled together, to form a box unit. Composite elements and cast concrete may be used to unite them with each other and with the columns (6).
