PROCESS:One mole of a dihalobis (cyclopentadienly)titanium ( ) of formula X: (Y is halogen, usually Cl) is reacted with 1-1.2 moles, preferably one mole of a di metal compound of formula III of formula III: (Z is alkali metal or monovalent alkaline earth metal) in an inert sovent under an inert atmosphere at -10 to 80 deg.C, preferably 5-30 deg.C for 30 min-5 hr, preferably 30 min-2 hr to give the objective compound of formula I. |
