PURPOSE:To prevnet the deterioration of the catalyst, by using acrylonitrilebutadiene rubber for a thread extending from a fuel inlet part to an exhaust outlet port. CONSTITUTION:A gummous valve built in a fuel pump and a gummous connecting pipe, which are used to operate the thread extending from the automobile fuel inlet part to the exhaust outlet port through the fuel pump, the internal combustion engine, the catalytic converter and the exhaust pipe, are made from a rubber containing acrylonitrilebutadiene NBR or a mixture of NBR with polyvinyl chloride PVC and a no-phosphorus plasticizer as main constituents. Since the plasticizer containing no phosphorus is used, the catalyst is protected from poisoned and deteriorated by phosphorus. |
