Car stowage space for skis - uses flap uncovering opening from rear boot and through hollow armrest on rear seat

The rear seat is provided with a fold-down central armrest (2) which is supported over an inverted U-frame. The armrest lines up with a flap (6) in the rear bulkhead into the boot so that skis can be stowed partly in the boot and partly inside the car. The skis are securely held inside the U-frame of the armrest and do not impede the occupants by being displaced during cornering. They occupy the position between the rear seat passengers normally filled by the armrest.
