A body vibration pick up is used to ensure that two components are correctly located. The pick up output is used to generate an electrical signal in response to a specific mechanical vibration condition. In the event that one surface is located using bolts (1) fixed into a masonry base, the bolt is shaped with an internal taper (7). The bolt has a face (5) for location on the base surface. The pick-up (9) has a coupled tapered plug that mates with the bolt. If misalignment or incorrect seating occurs the pick-up output is generated.
