<p>Those parts of the bone structures of filleted fish which are capable of passage, are removed mechanically by a pair of cutting tools rotating in a vertical plane and separated horizontally from each other by a gap of predetermined size. In front of the cutting tolls there is a feeder surface arranged horizontally or inclined, reaching towards their points of action. The feeder surface is formed by two flat surfaces joined by a "V"- of "U"- form depression which opens into the gap between the cutters. above the feeder surface before the cutters a pair of guide discs which can be rotated, are fitted. Their undersurfaces subtend an acute angle to the flat feeder surfaces, and their closest approaching circumferential points extend into the depression, and lie close to the guiding edges of the two flat surfaces, turning in the direction of motion. Used for sepg. the side sections of the fish skeleton from the spinal column. The machine takes the bone structures of the filleted fish in quick succession, whilst guiding the spine and the tail fin automatically. The bone frameworks can be fed forward irrespective of their nature since the tail fin has a constant surface and the spine fits in the depression.</p> |
