Counterbalancing device for camera on tripod - with two helical spring acting in opposite directions

The counterbalancing device is for a film or t.v. camera mounted on a tripod head and has a rotor and a stator with a restoring spring between them. The device has two helical springs (9.sub.11 9.sub.2) acting in opposite directions, pref. of opposite hand. The comparison unit (7) has a flat side and fits inside the rotor (1) adjacent to the stator (2), the rotor and the stator being mounted on the same central axle (3). The comparison unit is made up of a hollow sheel with two T-section pieces.
