Resin-impregnated matting partly filled with chopped, non-aligned glass-fibres, partly with endless or chopped, but aligned, glass-fibres, is used in order to control the strength of the prod. in the general direction of the aligned fibres. The alignment of the fibres is controlled by applying local depressions during mfr. of the carrier body so that the glass-fibres are diverted codirectionally with the depressions.
