The building blocks for assembly into walls may be made of any suitable material, such as brick, aerated concrete etc. They provide evenly distributed heat insulation over the whole wall area, and permit balanced air-conditioning by air circulation in the plane of the wall. There are continuous elevations or depressions, concave or convex, along the top and bottom with support surfaces (3) aligned along the edges in a row. Mortar etc. is brought only onto these surfaces in the superimposed layers of blocks. There may be a continuous lengthways groove to hold heat-insulating material.
