A stoving lacquer system based on alkyd resins of polyalcohols and polycarboxylic acids with a molecular weight of between 500 and 2000 and optionally modified with monocarboxylic acids, and in addition other condensed compounds, characterised in that the other condensed compounds are monoalcohols, is substantially harmless to the environment and can still be worked up as liquids while having a high solids content.
