PURPOSE:To pvovide a fire-preventing substance of very high fire-preveting property and good working property, by adding hydrated alumina, a halogenic flame retarder and flame-preventing fibers to a liquid copolymer consisting of acrylic ester and acrylonitrile. CONSTITUTION:The fire-preventing substance compriese 100 parts by weight of liquid copolymer which consists of acrylic ester and acrylonitrile (for instance, ethyl acrylate and acrylonitrile) and may be prtley substituted by liquid polyester etc., 200 to 400 parts by weight of hydrated alumina, 50 to 80 parts by weight of halogenic flame retarder and 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of flame-preventing fibers or inorganic fibers. A penetrated wall part may be manufactured by filling the fire- preventing substance in the gap between a wall and electric wire or cable penetrating the wall. The fire-preventing substance may be cated on electric wire or cable. The adhering property and airtightness of the fire-preventing substance are high. This substance does not undergo deformation or contraction for a long time. |
