<p>The roof covering unit (2) is for tile or slate roofs, and comprises a sandwich panel (3, 4, 5) with a heat insulating, light material inner layer (3) retained between two stronger outer layers (4, 5) by adhesion. On one of the outer layers are laths (8) or similar to receive the tiles or slates. On two or more side edges, the unit has a groove (6, 7) in two adjacent edges the grooves are such that adjoining units can be attached in a watertight fashion. The grooves are formed so that they pass further over half the thickness of the panel on one side of the middle surface than on the other side.</p> |
