PURPOSE:To produce the connector of less coupling loss with low cost by using a pair of silicone wafers having plural V-grooves and guide bars. CONSTITUTION:A pair of silicon wafers 1, 1' having plural V-grooves 2 are made and guide bars 3 composed of glass, ceramics or metal of diameter equal to that of optical fibers 4, 5 are fixed in the V-grooves 2 of one silicon wafer 1. Then, if the optical fibers 4, 5 are fixed on the respective V-grooves 2, 2' of a pair of silicon wafers 1, 1' by being aligned to the silicon wafer cut face 6, then the optical fibers 4, 5 are connectd and disconnected by inserting or removing the guide bars 3 into or from the V-grooves 2', thus the function as a connector is provided. |
