<p>Undrawn, spin-oriented polyhexamethylene adipamide yarn is prepared by high-speed spinning, cooled, steamed under forwarding tension and wound while still under tension to produce a yarn having improved stability, low shrinkage, good tenacity and uniformity. The yarn has break elongation and birefringence values particularly suitable for false-twist draw-texturing.</p> |
