PURPOSE:To improve the combustion efficiency with additional feature of instantaneous extinguishment, by fitting a refractory body having a center projection surrounded by a concave to the inner bottom of a burner and placing the tip of a fuel pipe above the center projection. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic refractory body 7, having a projected center 8 like a lemon squeezer and surrounded by a concave 10, is fitted to the bottom of inner body 2 of a burner 1. The fuel pipe 11 is inserted in an air pipe 12, one end being fixed to the side wall of the inner body and the other end being open above the projected center of the refractory body 7. When the device is in a state of stationary combustion, the refractory body is red heated and fuel dripping from the fuel pipe is gasified before it reaches the concave 10 through thermal cracking to provide efficient combustion being well mixed with combustion air. This makes it possible to extinguish the flame instantaneously because fuel never stands in the concave 10. |
