<p>PURPOSE:To separate and recover solvent and S surely from the beginning of the operation and to prolong the life of the solvent, by use of a polyalkylene glycol derivative, to which a phenolic antioxidant is added, as a solvent in desulfurization of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:Polyaklylene glycol derivative (e.g., polyethylene or polypropylene glycol), to which is added pref. 50-2,000 ppm phenol series antioxidant (e.g., dibutylhydroxytoluene), is used for the solvent. Addn. of the above-mentioned antioxidant only may be sufficiently effective, but use of several antioxidant jointly or an oxy acid together with the antioxidant shows synergistic effect, however when a cpd. with COOH group or ester bonding is used, addn. of the cpd. not more than 200 ppm. is pref.</p> |
