PURPOSE:To prevent generation of noise and sound interruption without increase of redundancy and make possible editing of a sound recording tape by using correlativity of right and left stero signals to errors which continue for a stated period. CONSTITUTION:Data from regeneration head 1 are separated into right and left channels through demodulator 2 and errors of regeneration data are detected 3 by means of each error detection code. When data are not detected, data of both channels are outputted through data switching unit 4, and when errors are detected, normal data of other channels are outputted through switching unit. Therefore, when burst errors are generated for a stated period, the device can prevent generation of noise and sound deterioration. |
