PURPOSE:To eliminate the clearance adjusting operation or feeding a cutter shaft according to the abrasion of the cutter knife, by attaching a knife holder to the cutter shaft via a press member slidably. CONSTITUTION:The proper contact pressure maintained between the cutter knives 5 and the nozzle surface 2a of the die 2 by the spring 7 eliminates the clearance adjusting operation to feed the cutter shaft 8 according to the abrasion of the knives 5 until the feed is stopped because of the contact between the knife holder 6 and the stopper 9 due to the abrasion of the knives 5. If the relative position of the knife holder 6 to the cutter shaft 8 is detected by a strain gauge after setting the permissible distance between the knife holder 6 and the die nozzle surface 2a by the stopper 9 attached to the shaft 8, the abrasion progress of the knives 5 can be detected to determine the changing time of the knives 5 accurately. |
