METHOD OF REMOVING PRIMARY MOMENTUM OF ENGINE

PURPOSE:To provide a novel method of removing primary momentum utterly dif- ferent from the prior art with weights provided on balancing shafts. CONSTITUTION:The momentum of the rotary portion can be removed by providing an arm 3 projecting from a crank arm 2 in a direction of extension of the arm 2 and having a radius r and providing at the tip of the arm 2 with a counterweight 4 of a mass equal to the weight of m of the rotary portion. The primary momentum of the reciprocal portion is removed with weights 7 and 8 provided on respective balancing shafts 5 and 6 provided on the opposite sides of the crankshaft 1. The balance shafts 5 and 6 are provided parallel to the crankshaft 1 and at an equal distance from the shaft 1 and rotated at the rate of 1:1 with respect to the crankshaft 1. They are rotated in the opposite directions.
