Procedure and arrangement for manoeuvring a log in a saw unit where the log, via a transporter (1), is fed to a transport device (2, 3) which moves the log to the desired position. The log's side profile is thereafter inspected via an instrument (4) which provides data to a computer for optimising the positioning of the log in relation the sawing, line with the help of an adjustable manoeuvring unit (5). A device (6, 7, 8) is provided for the conveyance of the log from the transport device (2, 3) to the manoeuvring unit (5).<IMAGE> |
