PURPOSE:To remarkably simplify the preprocessing and to make accurate the separation when the stroke is complicated, by picking up the one image train of the stroke and separating the stroke of graph through the connection of auxiliary dot train to the image point train. CONSTITUTION:In the processing method storing the graph information to the memory unit with the input graph given by scanning, and picking up the stroke independent included in the graph with separation with others, the graph frames 1A to 1D including the input graph 2 are detected for the mesh piont of white and black of the graph 2 with sequential scanning toward the X coordinate predetermined and the differentiating point 4 of white, black or black and white viewed from the dirction of scanning is picked up. The differentiating point train 8 is picked up for the differentiating points linked toward the Y coordinate direction from one of the differentiating points. Further, the image point train 9 is picked up along one edge of the strokes 3A, 3B and 3C by checking the continuity of the differentiating point train 8, the auxiliary point 7 and the image auxiliary points 5 and 6 are picked up and the auxiliary point train 10 is picked up. |
