[Also in Division B1] A liquid dispensing apparatus, e.g. for paint pigment, comprises a large piston 21 and a hollow piston rod 22 and a small piston 26 and piston rod 27 mounted within rod 22. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, piston 26 is movable by a handle 52 through an intake stroke limited by a stop 53 on a calibrated rod 54 having apertures 55 engageable by a locking pin 56. Piston 26 is movable with piston 21 by a handle 50 after releasing a catch 63. Liquid is drawn from a reservoir 25, having a hand or poweractuated stirrer 29 (see Division B1), via a rotary valve 16 and delivered via valve 16 and a non-drip nozzle 18. Valve 16 is operated by lever 46 and is spring-biased towards its inlet position. In another embodiment, Fig. 8, a ball inlet valve 84 and flexible delivery valve 68 are provided. A number of dispensers may be mounted in circular formation and actuated by a cam track. In a further embodiment, Fig. 10, the dispensing cylinder is separate from the reservoir 88, Fig. 11, and is connectable to the reservoir by placing its flanged end 94 in an aperture 101 in a slide valve 98 covering the reservoir outlet, and then moving the dispenser and valve 98 downwardly so that aperture 101 registers with the reservoir outlet, flanges 100 engaging behind flanged end 94. |
