The barrier (1) can pivot from the vertical into a horizontal retracted position, and has a double locking system. Unlocking may be effected by a three-pronged spanner or by operating a padlock (26). The barrier comprises a metal frame able to pivot about a horizontal axis (XX) on a base plate (13), and incorporates an offset leg (5) able to pivot about a perpendicular axis (y-y). The leg cantilevers from a sleeve (6) on an axle(7) to engage a staple (12) and lock the erect barrier. The sleeve and the axle may be locked against rotation by a diametric pin (16) secured by a padlock (26) and a notched (22) screw-on head (23) at its opposite extremities. |
