PURPOSE:To maintain surface condition of a wire electrode at a desirable level by appropriately controlling feeding speed, discharge voltage and amperage (current), etc. on the basis of result of inspection of the surface of the wire electrode immediately after having been used. CONSTITUTION:Surface of a wire electrode 2 use for processing is inspected by a detector 16 (consisting of a light source lamp 20 and a light sensing element 22) immediately after having been used. This inspection signal is sent as an input into a processing current control circuit 25. And by means of an output signal from this control circuit 25, switching elements 9, 10 and 11 are selectively conducted to appropiately control supply current to the wire electrode 2, discharge power voltage and feeding speed, etc so that surface condition of the wire electrode 2 is maintained at a desirable level. |
