The subject-matter of the present Specification is identical with that of Specification 1,188,134 but the claims are directed to a tree debrancher comprising a supporting frame having a guide bed extending at least partially thereover, a plurality of stripping plates, means for supporting the plates, the supporting means and guide bed being adapted to move relative to each other, the plates being movable from an opened position in which the plates are spaced from each other and a closed position in which they collectively form a generally closed pattern to encircle and grip a tree trunk to permit movement thereof relative to the guide bed to a moved position, means for gripping the trunk to maintain it in its moved position, and actuating means for operating the supporting means and stripping plate to remove branches from the tree trunk as the guide bed and supporting means move relative to one another.</p> |
