Paper holder pressure rollers for ink jet printer - have porous insert to absorb undried ink and thereby prevent smudging

The pressure rollers on the paper holder have a plastics body (3) with a circumferential recess (4) housing an absorbent ring which rests on the surface of the paper. The ring is able to absorb any wet ink and thereby helps to prevent smudging. The ring is made from e.g. felt, porous rubber, sintered material or rigid foam material. Instead of using such a porous ring insert, the complete roller can be made of such absorbent material.
