Expanding sleeve for masonry anchoring - has clamping projections preventing retraction and holds hammered fastener

The expanded mandrel is held within a cylindrical sleeve which is expanded for anchoring into a hole in masonry. The expanding fastener can be anchored readily at any required depth within the drilled hole and the expanding element is hammered into the sleeve. In the region at the end of the clamping projection (11) the material has a greater thickness than in the region of the sleever (1). Two diametrically opposite clamping fingers (11) are provided which do not project beyond the outside circumference of the sleeve when the mandrel is not yet inserted. Subsequently, these fingers expand beyond the sleeve circumference.
