In order to delivery heating oil to end users, the tanker vehicles have feed pumps. The feed pumps (7) and a pump motor (8) are coupled to one another to form a pump unit on a tanker vehicle and, by means of the same base plate (6), are attached to the floor (1), which is fixed to the vehicle, via sound insulators (5) and elastic holders (2). Motor and pump are accommodated in a housing (3) with a sound-insulating lining (4). The cooling system of the motor is connected via lines (12, 12') to the radiator (16) of the engine of the tanker vehicle and a ventilator (14) with electric motor (15) ensures that air is circulated through the radiator when the engine of the tanker vehicle is switched off. Thus, the engine of the tanker vehicle does not have to operate at a high engine speed which is necessary for the feed pump. Because more power than the pump needs is produced at this engine speed, in addition to the better sound insulation it is also possible to pump more economically. <IMAGE>
