<p>The machine cuts up a continuously-delivered strip of flat material into sheets, having a pair of rollers of the same diameter, rotating in opposite directions with the same angular velocity. One roller has a knife protruding from its periphery and inclined to its generatrix, while the second one has a parallel knife at the same height as its generatrix or set back from it. The knives work together to cut the material partly wound onto the second roller. The knife (16) of the first roller (10) is spring-loaded in the direction of that (18) of the second roller (12). The spring can act roughly in the tangental direction of the roller, having sufficient resilience to allow the knife to be roughly parallel to the generatrix.</p> |
