<p>An intermediate section (5), which is formed as a binding for long distance cross country running, is inserted into the normal binding (2, 3), fastened directly to the ski (1). The ski boot (4) is inserted and clamped in the intermediate section. The section consists of a lower plate (6), corresponding, in shape to the sole (7) of the boot, and clamped intot he normal binding; and of an upper plate (15). The latter is hinged to the front (13) of the lower plate, swivelable about a horizontal shaft (14) in an angle of up to 90 deg., and carries tip and heel retainers (16, 17) adjusted to the ski boot. Upper- and lower plate may be rigidly connected by a spring-loaded locking pin.</p> |
