<p>The portable storage heater is used to heat up the interior of a vehicle, being heated up at a remote location, then placed in the vehicle before starting on a journey. The heating unit (1) consists of a block made of e.g. fire-bridge with channels (2) through it. An electric heating element (3) is also housed inside. The casing has a socket (14) at the front for connection to e.g. the household mains supply, so that the block can be heated up. On transfer to the vehicle, a fan (6) inside is connected by a socket (15) to a point in the vehicle. Air is then blown over the block, which is tilted at an angle, to pass through the channels inside. The heated air is then discharged underneath the block and out the back.</p> |
