<p>The elastically deformable die segment (6) is for use in folding metal sections in a press. The segment (9) comprises a flexible blade which is set in a channel in the die body (4), and is braced away from the die body at longitudinal intervals. The arrangement permits the segment (9) to be adjusted for alignment obviating angular folding imperfections in long prestamped pieces. Both folding surfaces (9, 8) of the matrix may be of the above flexible form, and the adjustable spacers or lateral supports may comprise screws (11, 12) cams, jacks or wedges with lardons.</p> |
