The coating appts. consists of a roll stand contg. a pair of rolls; on the stand is a support (a) fitted with two adjustable guides (b) for the accurate alignment and feeding of a metal strip through the rolls. The support (a) is also fitted with guides(c) for the accurate alignment and feeding of one or more flux coated strip of solder through the rolls. The rolls press the solder strip(s) onto the metal strip; and the assembly then travels through a furnace so the solder melts and is bonded to the metal strip.
