Continuous mechanical and thermic product processing - using two counter running screw conveyors with transverse and longitudinal separating walls to form several circuits

Products are continuously mechanically and thermally processed while being conveyed by elements such as worm drive conveyors. At least two conveyor elements are located inside a housing with a product inlet and outlet. The conveyors more the product alternately in opposite directions. The conveyor unit has one or more separate walls transverse to the direction of conveyor movement. The separating walls are fitted with passage openings on at least one conveyor element which permit part of the product to pass through. The separate walls between the conveyor elements which are parallel to the direction of conveyor movement are also fitted with passage openings at those points where separating walls are transverse to the the conveyor movement so that the product inside the conveyor makes two or more internal circuits.
