PURPOSE:To obtain in high yield the time standard, which is excellent in frequency- temperature characteristics, by using logic delay means as a plurality of piezoelectric oscillators. CONSTITUTION:Two oscillators S1 and S2 having a coincident crest frequency are connected in parallel with a oscillatory circuit 11 which has the most proper load capacity. The output signals having a period according to the divided oscillatory frequency are generated by the frequency dividing circuit 12 of variable frequency, in which the oscillatory frequency from the circuit 11 is preset in a frequency dividing ratio. The period of the output signals is compared with a preset period so that the ratio of the divided frequencies of the circuit 12 is varied, when inconsistency takes place, to obtain the desired period. As a method for varying that ratio, the capacitance 13 or 14 may be changed. |
