<p>A loom temple cylinder has a support bolt on which, inclined obliquely to the long axis of the bolt, there is a bearing which cannot be turned relatively to the bolt. The bearing has a flange and a bearing surface for an obliquely aligned small wheel, and is clamped on the bolt by two locking devices. The bore of the inclined bearing, machined to fit the support bolt, has a locking element formed integrally with the bearing, which projects from the circumference of the bore and engages with the support bolt. System overcomes the expense of mfg. support bolts having the cross-section of a letter "D" and the corresp. bores in the bearings to suit. Existing temples cannot be modified to suit this form of locking. Mutually corresponding wedge grooves in the bearing and the bolt are also difficult to produce. The presnet invention constitutes, a simple, quick and cheap means of producing an efficient temple.</p> |
