A solar heat is composed of a series of cylindrical or spherical lenses (17) mounted side by side to focus incident radiation on to a collector (11, 12) below the series. Between the collector and the series of lenses is a barrier (13, 14) formed with slits or holes. The barrier is positioned for the slits or holes to be at the focal lines or focal points of the lenses.
