Address converter (V1, V2, V3) is used for addressing a short-dialling store (KW) on the basis of a calling subscriber's switching network terminal address which depends on a switching network classification into switching network units (KGABC1, KGAB1). The store can then emit a complete called subscribed number in response to a short dialling number transmitted by a calling subscriber. To keep down outlay a portion (V1, V2) of the converter is used in common both for addressing a main subscriber data store (TH) required for all subscribers and the short- dialling store. The converter provides branching of the addressing operation at a portion (V2) dependent on the classification of the switching network. A further portion (V3) is used for addressing the short dialling store in conjunction with a short-dialling number. The allocation of storage positions to a subscriber within the short-dialling store can be fixed variable to suit subscriber numbers of varying sizes. <IMAGE> |
