The printer head comprises a cylindrical body (7) rotatable about an axis (8) in order that any one of six sets of symbols (11) may be aligned with the sensitive paper of the recorder. The symbols are composed of invidual bar-type film resistors interconnected to two terminals (14, 16) on the ceramic plate. One of the terminals is connected to a contact pad (23) near the other end of the cylinder, the other is connected to a common slip ring (22) at the end of the cylinder. The contact pad and slip ring make contact with brushes (21, 20) which are connected to a DC heater supply (17).
