HV coil for low power HV transformer - has cylindrical coil former with partitions separating winding sections and slots for coil section connection wires

The coil is esp. for use in X-ray generators producing pulses of 150 Kw power. The coils is cylindrical with individual windings layers parallel to its surface. The former (1) has chamber walls (2, 2a) in planes perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. The spacings of the walls are smaller than their height. The winding is placed in the chambers between two adjacent walls, slots (4) in the walls (2a) separating two adjacent chambers are tangential to the former and accommodate the winding wire (6) running from the top layer of one winding on to the coil former in an adjacent chamber.
