CONSTITUTION:Maintenance driving circuit 20 to supply the maintenance voltage to the X electrode consists of four switches S1-S4, two units of power source -VS/2 and +VS/2 of 1/2 maintenance voltage VS each plus the earth potential. The maintenance driving circuit for the Y electrode comprises switches S5-S8 plus similar power sources featuring the half voltage. And power source -VW/2 of half the writing voltage, power source -Ve/2 of half erasion voltage plus switch S9 and S10 are provided to the X electrode. In the same way, write/erasion circuit 70 for the Y electrode contains switch S11 and S12 plus power sources +VW/2 and +Ve/2. These power sources apply the power to each electrode line of element 10 via the diode groups provided to selection group 50 and 80. |
